Refer the transaction. Keep the client.

Most of what we do arrives through someone who already advises the client. This page sets out how that actually works, what your client gets, and what we will never do.

Who this is for

Four kinds of professional, one reason each.

Mortgage or finance broker

A file rebuilt from source documents lands differently. On white-label work the lodgement stays yours, and that is written into the engagement.

The case in full

Accountant

The transaction lands on your desk mid-deal, on a week you did not plan. We do not do compliance, ever, so the client stays yours.

The case in full

Business broker

A buyer with tested numbers is a buyer who settles. Deals fall over at finance more often than at price.

The case in full

Business buyers agent

You represent the buyer and do not do the financial verification. It completes the offering rather than competing with it.

How to send a client

Two pathways. Your call.

Refer the client for finance and we make sure they are taken care of end to end, or pick and choose exactly which services you want us to complete. Both start the same way: send the scenario and you have a fixed fee in writing within two business days.

Pathway 1: Refer the client for finance

One referral, and the whole matter is taken care of.

Refer your client for the finance and we look after the rest. We run the lending across 40+ lenders and wrap every service the matter needs around it: the diligence, the documents, the modelling, so nothing falls between advisers. Where a broker introduced the client, the lending stays with that broker.

Pathway 2: Pick the services you need

Choose exactly what you want done, one service or several.

Point us at the specific work: financial due diligence, finance documents, a business plan, a debt capacity read, or any combination. Each is fixed-fee off the schedule on this site, and combining multiple services on the same matter attracts a bundle discount, quoted in writing at scoping.

What you get

Six things, stated plainly.

One schedule, the same for everyone

There is no referral rate and no channel rate. Your client pays the fee on the site, and so does everyone else, which means nothing you tell them can be contradicted by another adviser quoting the same work. Where a discount is agreed it happens at scoping, in writing, and never on a finance outcome.

Your client stays your client

We do not approach your client for anything beyond the work you referred. It is in our terms of engagement, not just on this page. Where a broker introduces the matter, the finance stays with that broker.

A fee before anyone commits

Send the numbers and we confirm the scope and a fixed fee in writing within two business days. No charge and no obligation for that, so there is nothing for you to warn a client about.

Something to hand over

A one page summary of the work and the fees, current because it is generated from the same schedule as the site. Nothing to keep reissuing when a fee changes.

A straight answer, including no

If the numbers do not work we say so in writing. A referrer who sends us a deal that should not proceed gets told that, which is the outcome that protects your relationship rather than ours.

A named route in

You deal with Nicholas directly rather than a general enquiry queue.

How it runs

Four steps, and you stay in the loop for all of them.

  1. 1

    Tell us it is coming

A one line email or a call is enough. We will tell you straight away if it is not something we should take.

  2. 2

    Your client sends the numbers

Through the scoping form or directly to us. You stay copied in unless your client would rather you did not.

  3. 3

Fixed fee in writing, two business days

Scope and fee confirmed before anything starts, straight off the schedule on this site.

  4. 4

    The work, then the debrief

Your client gets the report, the workbook and a debrief call. You get a copy if your client wants you to have one.

Your client stays your client.

We do not approach a client you introduce for anything beyond the work you referred. It is in our terms of engagement rather than only on this page. Where a broker introduces the matter, the finance stays with that broker and The Lending Lab only takes clients who arrive without one.

Read the term itself

The fee we confirm is the fee you pay.

We put a fixed fee in writing before any work starts. If the work turns out to be larger than we scoped it, that is our error and our cost, not yours. If your records are materially incomplete, we tell you before we start rather than after we invoice.

Which matters more to you than to us: a fee that moves after you have recommended someone is your problem before it is ours.

Start here

A conversation, not an agreement.

There is no contract to sign and no volume you have to commit to. The first conversation is about whether the work is useful to the clients you actually act for, which is a question we can usually answer in ten minutes.

If you would rather just send something and see how it goes, that is fine too. Call 0480 521 605 or book a time.

We do not make any claim, in either direction, about what a referrer receives. What is on this page is what your client gets. Anything else is a conversation between us, not a marketing line.

No agreement, no commitment, and nothing said publicly about what any referrer does or does not receive. We will tell you plainly how it works on the call.
